Literature on the Example of Our Own Secondary School Practice

Abstract

The study explores the constructivist and cognitive-communicative paradigms in the teaching of the Czech language within one‘s own teaching practice at a bilingual (Czech-Canadian) high school, specifi cally in the 3rd and 4th grades. It reflects on the teacher‘s methodology and content from both a methodological and pedagogical perspective. The paper not only describes the process of overcoming teacher barriers in the constructivist and cognitive-communicative paradigms but also discusses the didactic approach to instructional content and the transformation of educational material.
